Back after a long break. I was busy in office and had to complete some work at home so was not able to update the blog.

The next file is a Survey / Questionnaire / Feedback Form made in excel. This file comprises of 10 questionnaire mostly related to customer services. The questions can be found in the “Questions” tab ( link to it on the main sheet too). Just change the questions as per your requirements. The sheet can calculate around about upto 2000 person’s data, though it can be changed through the VBA option. Though some basic VBA knowledge is required. The graphs in the “Results” section can be changed too.

Calendar (2012)

Since the year 2011 is ending, something related to the next year was in need at our office. So I decided why not make a calendar in excel for 2012. Though not as good as others you might find on the internet, still its my original idea and the workbook was created from scratch. Its an interactive file in which you can click and navigate though the months at your own leisure.

This file has only the months as of now. The updated version with more options will be posted soon.

Navigation Images 01 (Excel)

Just the other day in office, we were finalizing an interactive workbook that had links to and from different sheets. Moreover, not only it had linking in the same workbook there were links to some outside pages as well. When the time came to insert images, enabling users to click for navigating, it was a bit tedious. Not wanting the simple images that we had in Excel, I started browsing the internet to find something suitable. But after a bit of searching I was stuck with options that were not synchronizing with my workbook theme. Then it hit me. Why shouldn’t I make my own images/buttons in Excel? Using Shapes option in the Insert Menu, I combined different forms of shapes to make images.
The template file can be downloaded from below. The images that it has are “E-Mail” and “Home”. The images are grouped together and they can be edited by ungrouping them. Please again note that the file was created using Microsoft Excel 2007, it might not be compatible with earlier versions.
Before ending this post, there is something I would like to tell. Most of the work we do in our office is done by using Excel. So many of the posts in this blog are going to be Excel based.

Swish Button 01

Having Flash based content on a website is something that has become very common nowadays. SWiSH Max is a flash creation tool that makes your task easy when it comes to making your own interactive animations, presentations, buttons, menus, etc. etc.
To start off at Templiztes, you can find a very simple flash button created using SWiSH Max. Just download the zip file and play with it.
Please note that you need to have/installed SWiSH Max on your PC. A snapshot of the button is given below.

Bouncing Ball Chart (animated)

Powerpoint is perhaps the most common presentation tool around. The more and more people use it, they find out ways to improve their presentation outlook.
One of the most common feature used in Powerpoint is the “Custom Animation”. It can be found in the Animation Tab. To animate any object, select the object and click “Custom Animation”. After clicking a side window will appear from where you can customize as per your requirement.
The file attached below shows how the chart elements in Powerpoint can be animated separately. The Chart type used is “Bubble” and the animation is Bounce In. A snapshot of the chart is given below.

The Start of Templiztes

When most people think of you as a computer genius they come to you for finding solution of their queries. Everyday at work my colleagues come up to me when they get stuck at something and expect that I have the solution for everything. Even though people call me an expert but as far as I know I am better than the average Joe.
The main purpose for creating this blog is to organize templates related to different types of programs that might be useful for others. Amongst other, the different types of templates that I will be uploading are :-
  • xls & xlsx (Microsoft Excel)
  • doc & docs (Microsoft Word)
  • mbd & accdb (Microsoft Access)
  • ppt & pptx (Microsoft Powerpoint)
  • swi & fla (Flash)
  • Images (GIF, JPEG, PSD)
All of the above mentioned files that I will upload are going to be solely my creation. If by chance there is a copyrighted file upload it would be unintentional and is highly regretted.
Alongwith the templates that I will be uploading, you will also find links to other template websites that I find very helpful, as many websites and blogs have been useful to me.
The start will be slow, but hopefully will be able to grow into something more.
Let the voyage commence.
